Sydney – Here I Come!

I can’t believe i am leaving Canada in less than two weeks. I am not quite ready to go.

Although I am off to do fun things and golf in more countries, the thing that daunts me the most is packing my life for the next eight months into one suitcase and a club cover bag.

Tom and Shane (friends from Australia) left today and they have more luggage for three weeks that I will have for eight months. They do like shopping though and I prefer to travel light and I also don’t want to wield more than one suitcase and my clubs.

We went bush.

I have been offered a few different products from people and companies I have met through twitter and while very much appreciated, I don’t want to increase what I travel with. I only have so much space and I like the light weight tour bag I have.

I am looking forward to seeing everyone in Australia and catching up with all my Aussie golf mates – perhaps I can catch up with all my friends on the fairway.

First though, I am working on a film for a couple of months. I am looking forward to using a little more of my brain for work than I have had to of late. I love waitressing and chatting to fellow golfers about golf and food all day but sometimes a new challenge is welcome.

And another one

And another one

Today I had my final golf lesson for the year with Dave Bowlan. I filmed TQwT and then shot off to pick up Tom and Shane so we could meet Sheldon in town for lunch before dropping them at the airport.

It was lovely to have friends visit and show them my world and it forced me to have a break from my computer.

While I haven’t been too taxed waitressing, since end of May, I have managed to write 70+ posts and edit and upload 40+ videos on my YouTube channel, so I have not been idle.

I am passionate about golf and love talking all things food so I am happy creating videos for my website. I am no expert at either, but I am happy.

I am golfing and I am eating and I am documenting my adventures.

I was always travelling – it is just now I do it via fairway.

Tom hugged me.

I am not actually sure where we are. Somewhere PEI.

See you guys in Sydney

  1. I look forward to the day when we can tee it up together. I look forward to reading about your golf and travel adventures. Be well and save a little seafood for me. I’ll be in PEI in two weeks.
    Cheers, Mike

    • You will love PEI. Shame you couldn’t get here earlier as we could have played and my favourite place to eat seafood will be closed by the time you get here. I will be there tomorrow and Monday before I fly. Let me know how you go in PEI. I look forward to reading your blog.
